MUSCAT: The national archery on horseback championship, organised by the Oman Equestrian and Racing Federation for 2024 season, concluded at Al Rahba Farm’s tent pegging arena.
18 riders competed across two tracks: the sequential series and plate competition.
In the sequential series, Mohammed bin Najeeb al Attar clinched the first place with a total score of 40.97 points.
Hilal bin Sultan al Jabri followed closely in the second place with 40.74 points. The third position was secured by Imran al Sabqi, who achieved a score of 31.14 points.
The plate tracks saw Mohammed bin Najeeb al Attar continuing his dominance, claiming the first place with a total score of 14.20 points. Namir bin Mohammed al Shaidi displayed great precision to take the second place with a score of 12.54 points.
Saif bin Issa al Maamari earned the third place with a commendable score of 8.07 points, concluding a thrilling competition.
The overall championship title was deservedly won by Mohammed bin Najeeb al Attar, who amassed a remarkable total of 54.17 points across both events. Hilal bin Sultan al Jabri took the runner-up position with 40.75 points, while Imran al Sabqi claimed the third place with 36.97 points.
