Muscat: A joint statement on the occasion of the State Visit of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune was issued on Wednesday.
Both sides have decided to establish a joint Omani-Algerian investment fund, through which partnerships and projects will be established in the fields of renewable energy, petrochemicals, desert agriculture, technology, tourism, and other promising fields.
Emphasizing the importance of enhancing opportunities for communication and partnership at the private sector level, promoting trade and industrial exchange, and benefiting from the markets of the two countries and their position in promoting national exports and their access to regional and global markets.
The two sides stress the need for an immediate cessation of the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian territories, Lebanon, Syria, and Iran, and the right of the Palestinian brothers to end the illegal occupation and establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the two-state solution, and its accession to the United Nations.
