Muscat: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT) announced three new investment opportunities in the tourism sector in the governorate of Muscat.


Azaiba Beach in Bausher


The ministry said that the project offered for tourism investment in Al Azaiba will be a multi-use project, including a luxury hotel, classified restaurants, and a high-level health center.


The ministry said that the project will be subject to a bidding system according to the evaluation as the contract period will be 50 years, with a land area of ​​more than 10,000 sqm, with a rental exemption period of up to five years according to the size of the project.


The second opportunity will be to establish a classified tourist restaurant in the Al Sarooj area, where small and medium enterprises holding a Riyada card will be preferred.


The contract period for this project will be 10 years, with a land area of ​​150 square meters, and the bidding system will also be applied according to the evaluation.


The third opportunity includes establishing an integrated tourism project in the Hail al Awamer area in the Wilayat of Seeb.


The project includes the construction of hotels, a waterfront, shops, and classified tourist restaurants, in addition to entertainment and service facilities.


The contract period for this project will be 50 years, with a land area exceeding 91,000 sqm, with an exemption from paying the rental value for a period of up to five years according to the size of the project, and according to the specified bidding system.


The terms and conditions booklet must be purchased for a non-refundable fee of RO100, from the Revenue Section in the Financial Affairs Department at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism.


The period for purchasing the terms and conditions booklet starts from November 3 and continues until December 5 from 8 am to 1 pm.


The tender envelopes shall be delivered under the requirements contained in the conditions booklet in the customer services hall in the Ministry building.


The deadline for submitting applications is February 5, 2025, at 1 pm.


The Ministry is not obligated to accept any application that does not meet the requirements specified in the conditions booklet.


The submitted offers are not binding on the Ministry except after signing the usufruct contract in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.
