MUSCAT: The Scientific College of Design, in collaboration with Awj Business Solutions and Mall of Oman, hosted an art exhibition titled "Bright Fingers" at Mall of Oman in Muscat. The exhibition focused on showcasing the creativity of hearing-impaired individuals in the fields of fine arts and handicrafts, aiming to highlight their artistic talents and abilities.


The "Bright Fingers" exhibition aligns with ongoing efforts by the Scientific College of Design and Awj Business Solutions to foster community integration and support for people of determination. It provided a platform for hearing-impaired artists to exhibit their talents, showcase their achievements, and raise awareness about the challenges they encounter.

Several hearing-impaired artists participated, displaying a variety of unique and captivating artworks that shared their stories of perseverance and creativity. Visitors were introduced not only to the artists' pieces but also to their inspiring journeys.


The exhibition featured two specialised workshops. The first, led by renowned Omani artist Anwar Sonya, explored artistic techniques and solutions, guiding students towards creating remarkable artworks.


The second workshop, conducted by artist Yousef al Nahwi, encouraged students to draw inspiration from nature and express it through their unique perspectives. This hands-on experience resulted in a collection of artworks that demonstrated promising talent in art and design, hinting at a bright future for these young artists.


The "Bright Fingers" exhibition celebrated creativity, resilience, and inclusivity, leaving visitors with a deeper appreciation of the artistic contributions made by hearing-impaired individuals in Oman. — ONA
