MUSCAT: The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, through the National Program for Government Digital Transformation "Tahweel," has successfully concluded the registration phase for the Governorates Ambassadors Initiative for Digital Transformation. The initiative, aimed at driving digital transformation efforts across Oman, received over 520 registrations from citizens and residents eager to participate.

Eng. Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Kharousi, Director General of Digital Transformation and Sector Empowerment, highlighted the strong interest in the initiative. Selected ambassadors will receive comprehensive training to prepare them for their role in fostering digital literacy and helping communities adopt smart technologies and services, contributing to both improved quality of life and the growth of the digital economy.

A total of 66 ambassadors will be chosen from across Oman, categorized into three tiers: "Initiator," with basic digital transformation knowledge; "Advanced," with intermediate experience in areas like data analysis, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity; and "Specialist," possessing in-depth expertise and professional qualifications. These ambassadors will promote digital services, encourage the use of smart applications, and help integrate advanced technologies into everyday life.

After a thorough evaluation and interview process, the selected participants will undergo specialized training in digital content creation, smart applications, artificial intelligence, and other modern technologies. This training aims to equip them with the skills necessary to lead Oman's digital transformation and enhance the availability of digital services across the nation.
