Muscat: The Ministry of Labor has called on establishments to expedite their appointment as fuel station managers or supervisors within a month from the date of publication of this notice, which was published on Sunday.
The ministry said: “Establishments can benefit from the operational initiatives provided by the Ministry of Labor, and we commend the efforts of establishments committed to appointing national workers and we appreciate their constructive role in achieving job stability for the national workforce by contributing to the government's employment efforts."
The Ministry of Labour and Oman Society for Petroleum Services (Opal) had earlier launched an initiative to nationalize the job of Filling Station Manager.
The initiative was open for holders of Higher Diploma and holders of Bachelor’s degrees in business management and related fields, within the context of efforts of the ministry and Opal to nationalize jobs and empower this sector by providing it with Omanis capable of managing this type of business
The position was up for grabs in over 650 filling stations around the Sultanate of Oman.
