MUSCAT: Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) has advanced to the eighth position in the QS World University Rankings 2025 for Arab universities.
Her Highness Sayyidah Dr Mona bint Fahd al Said, Assistant Vice-Chancellor for International Cooperation at SQU and Supervisor of the Project to Enhance the University’s Position in the World University Rankings, described this milestone as a testament to the university’s strategic importance. She emphasised the need for sustained efforts and continuous improvements to maintain and further enhance SQU’s global standing.
Dr Tariq bin Muhiuddin bin Muhammad Ghulam, Director of the Ranking Enhancement Project, said the university’s progress demonstrates that the initiative is on the right track.
Key indicators that boosted SQU’s ranking include improvements in the job reputation index, student-to-academic ratio and web impact index.
