HH Sayyid Fahd receives Belarus PM

Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, on Monday received Roman Golovchenko, Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus at the Council of Ministers headquarters in Muscat.


HH Sayyid Fahd welcomed the guest and his accompanying delegation, hoping that relations between Oman and Belarus would continue to grow further. The meeting expressed a common desire to expand the scope of cooperation between the two countries in many fields.



The two sides reviewed a number of issues of common concern and efforts to support security, stability, development and prosperity for all countries.


The Omani-Belarusian talks addressed means of developing cooperation in various spheres, including economy, trade, industry, education, higher education, research, innovation and renewable energy.


In addition, the two sides studied means of exchanging expertise and enhancing the role of business councils in the two countries, laying emphasis on the contribution of the private sector to joint investments in various sectors. The meeting also touched on regional and international issues and reviewed efforts to establish security and stability in the interest of all countries.



HH Sayyid Fahd commended the role undertaken by the Republic of Belarus in addressing issues that serve international peace and security.


Meanwhile, Roman Golovchenko expressed his country's satisfaction with the growing relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Sultanate of Oman. He expressed his country’s keenness to develop ties in a way that serves the common interests of the two friendly peoples.


The meeting was attended by Omani ministers and government officials and members of the official delegation accompanying Belarus PM Roman Golovchenko during his visit to Oman.



Later, HH Sayyid Fahd hosted an official luncheon today in honour of Roman Gulovitchenko, Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, and his accompanying delegation at Al Bustan Palace Hotel.


The luncheon was attended by Omani ministers, state officials heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.
