Muscat: The National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) has activated its emergency center and mobilized response teams in South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, and Dhofar as the tropical depression in the Arabian Sea approaches. While the system is located 920 km from the Omani coast and is moving westward, it is expected to bring heavy rainfall to several regions. The closest rainy clouds are 56 km away, and though the chance of the system intensifying remains low, significant rainfall is expected.
