MUSCAT: The Oman national football team’s delegation arrived in Amman, Jordan, on Sunday ahead of their crucial tie against Jordan on Tuesday in the AFC Asian Qualifiers – Road to 26 group games.

The Red Warriors resumed their daily training sessions in Amman at Al Karama ground last night under the watchful eyes of the national head coach Rasheed Jaber, while today’s main session will be held at Amman International Stadium, where the match will take place on Tuesday.

The training session on Sunday focused on the physical and recovery aspects following the trip, especially after the tremendous effort made by the players in the game against Kuwait. The coaching staff, led by Rasheed Jaber and his assistants, will develop technical strategies based on the forthcoming game, aiming to improve the areas of weakness identified in previous Asian qualifiers matches.

The Oman team will aim to secure maximum points from this game before the remaining matches in November. Oman faces Jordan in a tightly contested match, following their 4-0 victory over Kuwait last Thursday, which revived their chances in the group. They are chasing their second consecutive win to edge closer to the top teams in the group.

Oman’s Ambassador to Jordan, Shaikh Fahd bin Abdulrahman al Ojaili, welcomed the Oman football team’s delegation upon their arrival at the airport. “I am hoping for a positive result in the game against Jordan. We coordinated with the Jordan Football Association a few days ago, securing around 1,000 seats for Omani fans,” he said.

I am confident that the team can achieve another positive result against Jordan. The players are in excellent shape and physically ready for the game,” he concluded.
