CAIRO: At the 32nd Arab Music Festival held at the Egyptian Opera House, renowned composer Sayyid Khalid bin Hamad al Busaidy was honoured for his outstanding contributions to music, spanning over 42 years. Since the beginning of his career in 1982, Sayyid Khalid has composed more than 200 works, collaborating with Omani and Arab singers, and has played a vital role in preserving traditional Omani music. The festival, featuring 14 diverse musical and singing nights with artists from across the Arab world, also paid tribute to 19 other artists, including an exclusive Omani-themed musical night, showcasing the rich musical heritage of Oman. - ONA
