Muscat: The tropical depression in the southeast of the Arabian Sea, is currently 950km from Oman's coasts and is moving westwards towards the Dhofar Governorate and the Gulf of Aden.
Its location is 16 degrees North and 66.5 degrees East.
The possibility of intensification is moderate at the moment.
Earlier, Oman Met had indicated that the system may develop into a deep depression with chances of affecting Dhofar, Al Wusta, and South Al Sharqiyah Governorates with cloud advection accompanied by varying intensities of rainfall starting from the night of Monday, October 14.
