Muscat: The Oman national football team defeated its Kuwait counterpart 4-0 in the third stage of the final Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
The match against Kuwait was a must-win situation to qualify for the World Cup in the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico.
The first half of the match ended with our national team leading its Kuwaiti counterpart 2/0 scored by players Abdulrahman al Mushafri and Mohsen al Ghassani.
Oman entered the match with a full squad after completing their ranks with the addition of Mohsin al Ghassani, a professional player at Bangkok United Club.
Salah al Yahyaei of Al Khalidiya club is also in the squad.
However, the team will miss Harib al Saadi due to the accumulation of yellow cards.
