MoUs on Al Rawdah Falaj, investment building in Saham

SAHAM: Two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) were signed on Thursday in the Wilayat of Saham, Al Batinah North Governorate, for the maintenance of Falaj Al Rawdah and the construction of an investment building for Atta Saham Charity Team.


The first MoU stipulates that Sohar Aluminium Company will fund the maintenance project of Falaj Al Rawdah in the Wilayat of Saham in Al Batinah North Governorate. This project is part of Sohar Aluminium’s social investment initiatives, which aim to provide support to various segments of the community. It further serves preserving natural heritage and agricultural key components in the Sultanate of Oman.


The second MoU was signed to support funding the construction of an investment building for Ataa Saham Charity Team. The building consists of 3 floors and is built over 2,900 sqm of land. This commercial building will contribute to supporting the team’s charitable and social activities in the Wilayat of Saham.


The MoUs were signed by Ahmed bin Mohammed al Kharousi, General Manager of HR and Corporate Affairs at Sohar Aluminium, Eng Athab bint Rashid al Rashdiyah, Manager of Water Resources Department at the Directorate General of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in Al Batinah North Governorate and Saif bin Rashid al Sinani, Chairman of Ataa Saham Charity Team.


The signing ceremony was held under the auspices of Shaikh Rashid bin Ahmed al Shamsi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development.


Shaikh Dr Sultan bin Abdullah al Battashi, Wali of Saham, underscored the importance of partnerships with the private sector in supporting and funding projects that benefit the society.
