MUSCAT: The Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef), conducted a 'Train the Trainer' programme in the field of early childhood development and positive parenting at the Radisson Hotel Muscat Panorama, recently.

The programme targeted educators and health workers in primary health care centres from across the Sultanate of Oman. It aimed at providing the participants with the necessary skills that enable them to work as professional trainers in the fields of early childhood development.

The training programme, which lasted for four days, aimed to increase awareness among parents and caregivers of positive parenting skills and encourage them to provide advice on early childhood development. It included several main topics such as stimulating early education, proper nutrition, positive discipline, and integrating children with disabilities.
