MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth will make its debut at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition (19th Venice Architecture Biennale) which will be held from May 10 to November 23, 2025.

The event will be held under the theme ‘Integrating Human and Artificial Intelligence Technologies in the Field of Architecture’. The Sultanate of Oman had previously participated in the Arts Biennale on two occasions, the last of which was this year.

Sayyid Said bin Sultan al Busaidy, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Culture and Commissioner-General of the Sultanate of Oman Pavilion at the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale, said: “The Sultanate of Oman’s first participation in 19 Venice Architecture Biennale confirms the ministry’s interest in enhancing its external cultural presence and establishing international cultural relations as well as strengthening cultural diplomacy which is one of the axes of the cultural strategy in line with Oman Vision 2024".

Al Busaidy said that this participation aims to enhance the role of the Sultanate of Oman as a leading global cultural destination and to build bridges of communication between the different peoples of the world, noting that the Sultanate of Oman’s hosting of the award ceremony for the winners of the 5th edition of the Agha Khan Award for Architecture for the year 2022 is a clear indication that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth is striving to make the Sultanate of Oman a destination for culture and art and to place it on the world’s cultural map with the aim of supporting cultural economy.
