Muscat: In a move to align with the decentralization and development goals of Oman Vision 2040, the South Al Batinah Governorate has launched a new promotional identity aimed at enhancing its image and supporting strategic development across various sectors.
The launch event, graced by Khalfan bin Saeed Al Shuaili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, was highlighted by remarks from Eng. Masoud bin Saeed Al Hashimi, Governor of South Al Batinah. He emphasized that establishing a clear visual identity is the first step toward development, adding that the governorate is in the process of preparing an integrated strategy for sustainable progress in multiple fields.
"This strategy is designed to improve service efficiency and the quality of life for both citizens and residents. It will include several ambitious initiatives to develop infrastructure and bolster investment and tourism sectors," said Al Hashimi.
He also explained that the new identity symbolizes more than a rebranding effort. It represents a shift towards an integrated digital future, including the launch of an electronic services portal and a mobile application. These initiatives aim to streamline procedures for citizens and investors while enhancing transparency and coordination with government agencies.
The governor noted that the logo's design was inspired by South Al Batinah’s cultural and natural heritage. Its six components represent the six wilayats of the governorate, symbolizing unity and the strong bonds between its people. The logo also reflects the governorate’s map, with hidden circles representing cooperation across various societal sectors, embodying the collective spirit of the region.
The arch-like element in the logo signifies the forward-looking approach South Al Batinah is taking to achieve its development objectives.
The primary colours of the logo—green and blue—represent the governorate’s fertile lands and its connection to the blue economy.
Secondary colours, inspired by the region's mountains, castles, and wadis, tie the visual identity to South Al Batinah’s natural and historical heritage.
