Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman will be affected by a low-pressure system, starting from Sunday, September 29, 2024, until Tuesday, October 1, 2024, with chances of cloud formation over Dhofar governorate, parts of Al Wusta governorate, Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining areas with chances of isolated rain and occasional thundershower may extend to the coastal areas of the Sea of Oman.
Daily weather conditions: Sunday and Monday
Cumulus clouds and rainfall of varying intensity (10-40 mm), accompanied by thunderstorms and active downward winds during the evening over the Al Hajar Mountains and the surrounding areas, may extend to the coastal areas of the Sea of Oman.
In Dhofar and Al Wusta Governorates, active downdraft winds (15-35 knots) will lead to reduced horizontal visibility and the flying of unstable materials during thunderstorms.

Continued formation and flow of clouds with chances of scattered rain (10-15) mm, sometimes thundery, on the coastal and mountainous areas of Dhofar Governorate and the Al Hajar Mountains and the areas adjacent to them. It may extend to include the coastal areas of the Sea of Oman. Chances of dust rising due to active winds in parts of Dhofar and Al Wusta Governorates.
Active winds (15-30) knots may lead to reduced horizontal visibility and flying of unstable materials during thunderstorms.
