Muscat: Oman will play host to two major logistical events bringing together the global logistics decision makers, players and knowledge and expertise to be shared among the members.

The first one is a high-level logistics symposium organised by the Global Alliance Integrated Logistics Network (GAIN), which will see global leaders in the sector share space in Muscat at JW Marriott from September 29 to October 01.

Organised jointly by Global Alliance Integrated Logistics Network (GAIN) and Omani counterpart Muscat International Shipping and Logistics LLC, the four-day symposium which is currently in its 25th edition, is expected to solidify Oman’s position as the global logistics hub, and will feature business forums, one-on-one meetings, and cultural tours displaying the rich heritage of the country, according to the orgnisers.

Established in 1999 in Thailand, the Global Alliance Integrated Logistics Network (GAIN) is celebrating 25 years of global logistics collaboration. This year's Silver Jubilee Symposium marks a milestone in the global goods cargo movement history, and it will bring together logistics professionals from countries including Australia, Korea, Canada, Nepal, Mauritius, India, Taiwan, Turkey, Colombia, China, and Portugal, to name a few, according to the organisers.

The second one is the seventh JCiLO Global Logistics Symposium from October 2 to 5, with members from the USA, Japan, Canada, India, China, Vietnam, Philippines, Iran, Mauritius, Malaysia, Egypt, Bahrain, among others, the high-level event will also feature a variety of events over the four days, including a General Assembly, one-on-one sessions, and tours of cultural and historical locations in Oman.

Jay’s Club Int’l Logistics Organization (JCiLO) is a professional consortium of Supply Chain Management Companies spanning nearly 100 countries worldwide. Unlike many logistics networks, JCiLO takes pride in a membership process that is exclusively by personal invitation from the JCiLO President, ensuring a tight-knit global family of like-minded professionals.

Both events serve as unique opportunities to engage with global industry leaders and discuss the future of logistics on an international scale.

“We are honoured to host both GAIN’s Silver Jubilee and JCiLO’s 7th Global symposium, showcasing Oman’s pivotal role in global logistics,” the orgnisers told the Observer.
