Duqm: The Wilayat of Al Duqm recently celebrated the recognition of top-performing students from local schools for the 2023/2024 academic year. The event also included the provision of interactive screens to enhance educational resources, facilitated through a collaboration between the Al Wusta Governor’s Office and Marafiq.

The ceremony was presided over by Shaikh Bader bin Nasser al Farsi, Wali of Al Duqm, and attended by several senior officials from Al Wusta Governorate, alongside members of Marafiq’s Board of Directors and executive leadership.

This initiative underscores the joint efforts of the Al Wusta Governor’s Office, the General Directorate of Education in Al Wusta Governorate, and Marafiq to promote academic excellence and encourage students to strive for higher educational achievement.

In his remarks, Shaikh Bader bin Nasser al Farsi congratulated the distinguished students, saying, “We offer our sincere congratulations to the students for their outstanding academic achievements, which reflect the dedication of both the teaching and administrative staff in fostering a supportive learning environment. The continuous involvement of parents has also been instrumental in these successes.” He added, “We encourage students to remain committed to their studies in the current academic year, as we look forward to their future contributions to Oman’s economic and social development.” Shaikh Bader also praised Marafiq’s initiative to recognise the students, commenting, “Marafiq’s involvement is a meaningful acknowledgment of the efforts and dedication these students have demonstrated throughout the past year.” Eng Abdullah bin Mohammed al Hashmi, MD of Marafiq, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to education, stating, “At Marafiq, we believe that education is the foundation of sustainable development in Al Duqm. Since our inception, we have been dedicated to supporting educational advancement and empowering youth to become the leaders of tomorrow. This forms an integral part of our corporate social responsibility.” Marafiq’s CSR programs focus primarily on supporting education by funding various training programmes and initiatives in collaboration with both public and private sector partners.
