Muscat: HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers on Tuesday received Dr Bouthaina Shaaban, Political and Media Advisor to the President of the Syrian Arab Republic and Chairperson of the Wathiqat Wattan Organisation.


HH Sayyid Fahd expressed his best wishes to the Syrian leadership. He also wished the people of Syria further development and growth.


Further, the meeting highlighted Omani-Syrian relations and means of boosting cooperation. It also touched on the agenda of the international conference organized by the National Records and Archives Authority in cooperation with the Syrian Wathiqat Wattan Organisation.


The two sides underscored the importance of joint Arab action in preserving legacies and historic documents and exchanging expertise in these fields. They also discussed regional developments and matters of mutual interest.

The guest and her accompanying delegation expressed their happiness in visiting the Sultanate of Oman and the developments achieved in different fields.


Moreover, the Political and Media Advisor to the President of the Syrian Arab Republic underlined the importance of the consultations she held with officials in the Sultanate of Oman.


The meeting was attended by Dr Hamad Mohammed al Dhouiani, Chairman of the National Records and Archives Authority and Dr Idris Maya, Ambassador of Syria to Oman.
