Renaissance Services supports two Omani artists taking part in UK exhibition

MUSCAT: Renaissance Services has announced its support for two emerging Omani artists, Majid al Amri and Sara al Hosni, as they embark on an inspiring artistic journey to the UK. This initiative, in collaboration with the British Omani Society Art Group, offers the two artists an opportunity to refine their skills and gain international exposure through a series of workshops and exhibitions.

The artists' journey begins with a two-week residency at the Welsh Academy of Art under the guidance of well-known artist Lucy Corbett, where they will engage in intensive skill development. Following their time in Wales, Majid and Sara will travel to London for a series of studio visits, workshops and networking opportunities, culminating in a highly-anticipated exhibition. The event, which will be held at the British Omani Society’s premises in central London, will showcase their work to a wider international audience from September 25–27, 2024. A few art works will also be available for sale during the exhibition.

Speaking on the occasion, Stephen R Thomas, CEO, Renaissance Services, said, “We are delighted to support Majid and Sara, two talented Omani artists, on their journey to the UK. This opportunity, facilitated by the British Omani Society, provides them with a rare chance to enhance their skills and expand their artistic horizons. We hope that this will also serve to raise the overall profile of Omani artists in the future."
