SETTING aside the fact that historically there has been only one legitimate State — the State of Palestine — and that Israel is an occupying force that used violence to seize Palestinian land, murder families, and commit ethnic cleansing, let us consider why the call for a two-state solution is not only unjust and immoral but deeply insulting to the long-suffering Palestinian people.
This proposal legitimises Israel's unlawful genocidal acts, which continue unabated as I write this article.
A quote often attributed to Joseph Stalin says, "A single death is a tragedy, a million deaths are a statistic." Let's make this personal. If someone stole your home, murdered your family, and forced you to live next to those murderers, wouldn't you feel this to be a profound injustice?
Living in close proximity to those responsible for such heinous crimes would re-traumatise you daily, robbing you of any chance for peace or healing.
It is inherently unjust because it denies the victim the right to feel safe in their own home and community.
Constantly confronting the perpetrators of such violence perpetuates the trauma, shattering any hope for recovery.
The emotional toll of being forced to coexist with those responsible for your loss is unbearable, and it denies the fundamental human need for justice and dignity. Wouldn't you seek to reclaim what was stolen from you? Wouldn’t you seek revenge? I would.
Yet this is exactly what the international community asks of Palestinians when it insists on peace talks based on a two-state solution.
Meanwhile, most Israelis support Zionist policies and when they protest it is rarely for the end of Palestinian suffering but rather for the release of Zionist hostages. As Turkish President Erdogan aptly noted, Netanyahu’s actions bear stark similarities to those of Hitler, a comparison underlined by the Zionist-Nazi collaboration in the 1933 Haavara Agreement, which helped Nazi Germany circumvent trade embargoes while blocking Jewish escape routes except to Palestine.
The ideology of Zionism, like Nazism, is rooted in ethnic cleansing and expansionism.
For good reason Israelis now fear Palestinian retaliation, aided by Hamas, Hezbollah and others, aware of the devastation their military has inflicted: massacres, the destruction of cities, and the starvation of civilians.
Zionists must be regarded as modern-day Nazis and like the Nazis they must be defeated on the battlefield. The land occupied by this Zionist colony must be returned to its rightful owners.
The two-state solution is a false premise because there has always been, and always will be, only one state: the State of Palestine.
