Govt units to have a dedicated platform to receive complaints

Muscat - The Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit has confirmed the start of implementing the directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on launching an electronic platform dedicated to receiving complaints and suggestions in government institutions in 2025.


Hilal bin Abdullah al Hinai, Director General of the Quality and Government Excellence Department at the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit, said, The platform aims to improve the services provided by government institutions, enhance beneficiary satisfaction, and achieve the priorities of the vision, especially the priority of governance of the state’s administrative apparatus, resources, and projects.


He added that the platform keeps pace with government efforts on digital transformation as it uses tools enhanced such as artificial intelligence.


The national platform is linked to 45 government service agencies and it will help them to respond to beneficiaries’ requirements according to unified methodologies governed by controls and standards.


During the meeting of the Council of Ministers in Salalah, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik commended the performance of government institutions and their efforts in tackling related issues that constitute national priorities for improving public services


His Majesty the Sultan stressed the need to develop mechanisms for measuring the level of beneficiary satisfaction with government services and aspects related to the streamlining of procedures in a manner that contributes to upgrading the quality of services and improving the satisfaction of beneficiaries.


His Majesty the Sultan gave directives to the Council of Ministers and the departments concerned to launch, in each government institution, an electronic platform to be dedicated to receiving complaints and proposals of beneficiaries during 2025.
