MUSCAT: Sanad Service Centres, operated by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, completed 901,039 transactions and electronic services during the first eight months of 2024, highlighting the growing demand for their services.
Of these, 608,907 were processed through the centres' electronic portal, and 292,132 were completed via the Oman Business Platform. By the end of August, the number of operational Sanad Centres reached 913, offering over 370 electronic services.
According to Mohammed bin Salem al Mashaykhi, Director of the Sanad Service Centres Department, the centres facilitated 2,433 job opportunities by the end of August. Muscat Governorate accounted for 48% of the total services, followed by North Al Batinah at 13%, and Dhofar at 7%.
Currently, 23 government and private institutions provide their services through these centres, with demand steadily rising. The electronic portal has attracted around 6.7 million visitors to date, with the centres spread across Oman’s governorates.
Al Mashaykhi emphasised that the Sanad Centres are undergoing continuous development to enhance service delivery and maintain leadership in electronic services, with a focus on unified operations both internally and externally. — ONA
