Muscat - The revenues of hotels with a classification of 3-5 stars in the Sultanate of Oman increased by 7.9 percent by the end of July 2024 to reach 132, 306, 000, compared to 122, 628, 000 by the end of July 2023, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI)
Statistics showed that this increase is attributed to the increase in the total number of hotel guests by 9.3 percent to 1,204,426 by the end of July 2024, compared to 1,102,314 guests by the end of July 2023, while the occupancy rate recorded a growth of 2.1 percent.
The number of Omani guests increased by 7.7 percent to reach 445,000, and the number of Gulf guests increased by 0.6 percent to record 101,341.
The number of other Arab guests reached 58,252, an increase of 12.8 percent, while the number of European guests increased by 18.9 percent to 308,938.
Guests from the Americas increased by 4.4 percent to 34,928, while the number of guests from the African continent reached 6,469, an increase of 0.9 percent, while the number of guests from Asia increased by 9.9 percent to 180,739, and from Oceania 17,200, a decrease of 30.6 percent.
