SALALAH: The Salalah Free Zone, in partnership with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Department of Dhofar Governorate, organised an exhibition showcasing the products and services of local business owners. The event, featured approximately 15 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from various sectors, including cooling and air conditioning system maintenance, gypsum manufacturing, professional clothing design, food safety testing, stationery supply, architectural design, as well as handicrafts and artisanal gifts.
Muslim bin Farah al Maashani, Head of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Department, emphasised that the exhibition aims to foster collaboration between SMEs and larger companies, promoting the integration of local entrepreneurs into larger business ecosystems. The initiative also seeks to equip SMEs with the necessary skills to market their products and services effectively.
The cumulative investment in the Salalah Free Zone has reached RO 4.7 billion, with 64 out of 145 registered companies in the operational phase. Industrial companies account for 56 per cent of these businesses, showcasing the governorate’s growing investment strength and diversity. — ONA
