Muscat: The Ruwi Malayali Association (RMA) successfully hosted Fami Fest 2024, bringing together community members for a day of festivities. Omani actor Dr Talib Al Balushi, widely known among Malayalis for his role in the movie Aadujeewitham, was the event's chief guest.
RMA President Faizal Aluva inaugurated the program, while Santhosh KR delivered the welcome address, and Neetu Jithin presented the event report. Guests included Al Mass Gold managing director Surendran Velayudhan, Everest International Company MD Suresh Balakrishnan, and other prominent figures such as Shahjahan, Sujith Sugunan, Ashiq, Shaiju, Sachin, and Suhail, who all delivered speeches.
RMA President Faizal Aluva honored Dr Talib Al Balushi for his contributions to the film industry. The event showcased a variety of performances, including dance, singing, storytelling, a fashion show, games, mimicry, and a mentalism act, with participation from Kerala actors and RMA family members.
Dr Talib Al Balushi also presented mementos to children of RMA members in recognition of their outstanding achievements. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by RMA Women's Wing convenor Binsi Sijoy.
