He explained that the association was working intensively to spread the game by organising tournaments in residential and commercial complexes, which aims to attract the largest possible number of fans, and expand the base of young players who can engage in the game and develop their skills.

Al Naabi also stressed the importance of the pivotal role played by the private sector in supporting national sports, noting that the partnership with Credit Oman opens the doors for further cooperation with other companies that wish to contribute to pushing the wheel of sports forward.

He added, "We believe that the sustainability of these partnerships contributes directly to the development of the sports infrastructure which enables the association to organise tournaments at high levels in line with international standards."

Al Naabi also said that they aim to prepare national teams in a way that enables them to compete in international forums and represent Oman. "Supporting the private sector enhances the chances of success of these efforts, and gives us the ability to develop clubs and teams, whether through providing financial or technical support, which enable us to face regional and international challenges.”

Al Naabi extended an invitation to the private sector to invest in sports, stressing that supporting basketball and other sports is an investment in future generations, as sports play a vital role in developing young people and preparing them to face life’s challenges.
