The Red Warriors have high hopes of reaching the Fifa World Cup as they were drawn into a balanced Group B that comprises South Korea, Iraq, Jordan, Palestine, and Kuwait.

Oman lost 1-0 in their away match against Iraq in Basra on September 5.

Red Warriors will meet Kuwait on October 10 in Muscat, followed by a clash against Jordan on October 15 in Amman.

The last group match will be against Palestine on November 14.

In their second leg, Oman will host Iraq in Muscat on November 19 before traveling to Seoul to face South Korea on March 20, and Kuwait on March 25.

The final group matches in this leg will be against Jordan in Muscat on June 5, 2025, and the concluding game against Palestine in an away match on June 10, 2025.

The first two toppers from each of the three groups will secure direct spots at the FIFA World Cup 2026, while the third and fourth-placed teams from each group—six in total—will progress to the AFC Asian Qualifiers—Road to 26 Playoff.

This playoff will be contested in two groups of three teams in a single round-robin format, with both group winners qualifying for the global showpiece.

The two second-placed finishers from the Playoff will face off in a home and away tie to earn the right to reach the Intercontinental Playoff and vie for the final available berth. The Qualifiers games will kick off on September 5 with the final round of matches scheduled for June 10, 2025.
