Oxy Oman established the Tasharuk Program for Omani SMEs in 2013. The programme supports the capacity building of Omani SMEs that demonstrate high potential for maximizing In-Country Value (ICV) and Omani job creation. Over six phases, it has focused on developing and advancing the capabilities of participating SMEs.

“The Tasharuk Programme is a cornerstone of Oxy Oman’s In-Country Value strategy, dedicated to fostering the growth and development of Omani SMEs,” said Steven Lauver, President and General Manager of Oxy Oman. “By supporting local SMEs, we are enhancing our operational efficiency and contributing to the broader economic diversification goals of Oman. Tasharuk reflects our unwavering commitment to building a competitive and sustainable Omani supply chain, creating jobs, and driving innovation within the local market.”
The Tasharuk program engages local SMEs and seeks to bridge gaps in Oman’s SME sector, fostering business growth, competitiveness, job creation, and sustainable development. Oxy Oman’s ICV strategy demonstrates efforts by Oxy Oman to increase and improve the sustainable employment of Omani nationals while simultaneously encouraging the development of Omani goods and services with a focus on human resources, technology, business development, and contracting and procurement.
