Oman Tourism roadshow in India concludes

Muscat: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT) has concluded the workshops and roadshows in the Republic of India, which started from the capital New Delhi, and covered the cities of Mumbai and Chennai, and finally Bangalore.


The closing workshop in Bangalore was attended by 18 participants from hotel establishments, travel agencies


Over 450 companies participated in roadshows across four major cities as the Sultanate of Oman sought to attract different segments and closely identify the requirements of these markets.


Azzan al Busaidi, Undersecretary of Tourism, Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, Sultanate of Oman, said that India is Oman’s second-largest source market. In 2023, Indian visitor numbers soared past 625,000, an increase of over 70 percent compared to the previous year.


There are direct flights from more than ten Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Bangalore.
