Muscat: The Indian passport application process will face a temporary disruption as the Passport Seva online portal undergoes maintenance. The portal will be shut down for five days, starting from 8:00 PM IST on August 29, 2024, and is expected to resume operations at 6:00 AM IST on September 2, 2024.
During this period, citizens will not be able to schedule new appointments. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), along with various authorities including Regional Passport Offices (RPOs), the Bureau of Immigration (BOI), the Indian Security Press (ISP), the Department of Posts (DoP), and Police Authorities, will also be affected.
Appointments that were previously scheduled for August 30 will be rescheduled, with applicants being informed of the new dates.
