Muscat - The number of visitors to Dhofar during Khareef since the beginning of the season until August 15 is 816,081, an increase of 10.3 percent compared to 739,884 visitors recorded in 2023 during the same period, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
The estimated statistics showed that the number of Omani visitors increased by 10 percent to 567,761.
The number of GCC visitors increased to 139,781 from 125,889 while visitors from other nationalities increased to 108,540 in 2024 from 97,719 during the same period in 2023.
It may be noted that 648,083 visitors arrived in Dhofar Governorate via the land port, compared to 167,998 visitors by air.
There is a 6.2 percent increase compared to the number of visitors arriving by air compared to 2023.
It may be noted that 49.4 percent of the visitors to Khareef Dhofar by mid-August came between August 1 and 15.
