MUSCAT: The Economic and Trade Exchange Forum between the Sultanate of Oman and the People's Republic of China, held in Muscat on Monday, discussed the most significant investment and trade opportunities in Oman.
The forum, organized by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, focused on enhancing trade exchange between the two countries and exploring opportunities to establish investment projects in vital sectors, especially in technology and digital transformation.
The forum brought together several Chinese investors and their Omani counterparts to explore investment and trade opportunities that can be developed and strengthened, particularly in supporting digital transformation.
Thuraiya Ahmed al Balushi, Director of Economic Diversification Investments at the Oman Investment Authority, explained that the forum was convened to explore investment opportunities between the Sultanate of Oman and the People's Republic of China. During the forum, the investments of the Oman Investment Authority, both inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman, and the sectors and areas of focus were reviewed. The participating Chinese delegation also presented the investment potentials and opportunities available in China.
The forum aims to encourage Chinese investors to engage in national initiatives targeting the attraction of foreign direct investment, while also showcasing the incentives and facilities offered by the Sultanate of Oman to investors. — ONA
