Muscat: Al Dhahirah Governorate launched its inaugural summer forum for the children of its employees. The programme will continue till Thursday (August 22) under the theme ‘Our Summer... Creativity and Excellence.’ The forum aims to make the most of the summer break by engaging children in a variety of meaningful and entertaining programs. A total of 75 children, both boys and girls, have joined the forum, divided into two age groups.
This initiative seeks to strengthen social bonds, foster institutional loyalty, and nurture a generation of creative, thoughtful, and socially engaged youth. The forum also emphasises the importance of instilling authentic values, encouraging knowledge and insight, and inspiring creativity and brilliance in the younger generation.
This year's programme offers a wide range of activities, including sessions on creative thinking, national culture, and technical skills, as well as physical activities to develop talents and promote positive values and behaviors. Key features of the forum include training in social and artificial intelligence skills, a technological robotics workshop, and the use of 3D virtual reality glasses.
Additionally, participants will engage in handicrafts, various competitions, and will be rewarded with prizes and certificates. The programme also includes educational trips designed to provide new learning experiences.
