SALALAH: Ain Jarziz stands as one of the most prominent natural and touristic landmarks in Salalah. Just seven kilometres from Salalah via the Itin Plain Road, Ain Jarziz is nestled within a diverse terrain that boasts an extended mountain range and valleys, with Wadi Jarziz being the most famous. The area is a hub for outdoor enthusiasts, offering opportunities for hiking, mountain sports, and adventure activities.

Ain Jarziz is currently experiencing a surge in visitors from within and outside the Sultanate of Oman. Insights from tourists who shared about their experiences and suggestions praise the development aspects of the important natural site.


Abdullah bin Hussein Al Marzouqi from UAE, a frequent visitor to Dhofar, expressed his admiration for the continuous development of the Ain Jarziz. He suggested enhancing facilities and services, improving road conditions, paving the parking lot, and adding more family-friendly areas.


Mahdi Hamad Al Yami from Saudi Arabia, on his first visit to Dhofar, praised the picturesque landscapes and the well-maintained facilities. He emphasised the importance of enhancing tourist services and preserving the site's natural beauty. Local visitor Mohammed Al Majali Al Junaibi shared his love for Ain Jarziz and suggested further developing the area to attract more tourists, including cleaning the spring’s waterway and enhancing the surrounding mountain views. - ONA
