Muscat: Al Amerat Club achieved a remarkable feat by securing third place in the Moscow Beach Soccer Cup after defeating Yoff Club from Senegal with a score of 4-2.
The match began with extreme caution from both teams as they exchanged the ball carefully, trying to find weaknesses in each other's defence. In the second minute, Yoff Club got a free kick which their player successfully converted into the first goal with a powerful shot into the net.
After the goal, Al Amerat players pushed forward, trying to score an equaliser through several shots and organised attacks, but luck wasn't on their side. In the tenth minute, Yoff Club was awarded a penalty kick after a foul in the penalty area, which they converted for their second goal. Al Amerat tried to respond quickly, but the first half ended with Yoff leading 2-0.
The second half started with a kickoff by Yoff Club, but Al Amerat quickly regained possession and pressed the opponent's defence intensively. In the fourth minute, a clever pass from Takumi Yusa found Sami al Balushi, who scored a stunning bicycle kick goal, reducing the deficit to one goal.
Al Amerat continued their intense pressure, and in one of the attacks, they got a free kick which Yoff's goalkeeper saved brilliantly. Before the end of the half, Al Amerat's player Yahya al Mariki received a red card, forcing the team to play with a reduced player for a while. However, they managed to maintain the score, ending the second half with Yoff still leading 2-1.
The third half began with a kickoff by Al Amerat, executed skillfully by Abdullah al Saouti, who played a high ball over the opponents that reached Salem Al Araimi. He scored a spectacular bicycle kick goal in the opening seconds. Al Amerat players charged with great enthusiasm, and in the following minute, Ahmed al Owisi scored the leading goal through a quick counterattack after a midfield pass.
Yoff Club tried to level the score with several attacks, but Al Amerat's defence was at its best, blocking all attempts. In the fourth minute, a beautiful pass from goalkeeper Yosuke Kawai found Abdullah al Saouti, who scored Al Amerat's fourth goal with a fantastic volley. Yoff continued their desperate attempts to close the gap, but Al Amerat's solid defence and the players' experience prevented that, ending the match with Al Amerat winning 4-2.
Al Amerat advanced to the third-place match after a narrow 5-1 loss to the defending champions, Lokomotiv Moscow, in the group stage.
Coach Ishaq Al Mas thanked the players for their efforts and the club president Mohsin Hani al Bahrani for the opportunity to participate in international competitions. He commented saying: "It was a tough game, but we managed to come back from a two-goal deficit. This gives us the motivation to perform better in future editions, and our ambition is to win the upcoming championships."
Al Amerat Club presented a distinguished performance in the tournament, winning three matches out of four, scoring 32 goals and conceding only 12 goals.
