SALALAH: Ain Razat is a popular tourist destination known for its diverse picturesque nature, stunning views, and beautiful caves. Most of the springs in the Dhofar Governorate receive water from the rain that falls on the surrounding mountains, with levels increasing during the autumn season.

Located about 15 kilometres from the city centre of Salalah, Ain Razat is in the northeastern part of the Dhofar Governorate. It stands out for its proximity to the Razat Cave, lush green mountains, and clear water flowing through a valley from the spring.

In the heart of Ain Razat is a public garden with green spaces, trees, and colorful roses. The tranquility of nature and the multiple streams create a magical and picturesque setting.

Ain Razat is one of the most abundant water springs in the Sultanate of Oman and a key tourist attraction in the Dhofar Governorate. The Dhofar Municipality has enhanced the surrounding area with a beautiful garden filled with shade trees, attracting visitors, travelers, school groups, and photography enthusiasts.

The water from Ain Razat is of high quality and suitable for drinking, as well as irrigation for crops, trees, and animals.

It is worth noting that there are 360 permanent and seasonal springs in the Dhofar Governorate, spread across various mountains and valleys from the Wilayat of Shalim and the Al-Halaniyat Islands in the east to the Wilayat of Dhalkut in the west, with some springs even found in the Dhofar desert. - ONA
