Summer sports forum held at Al Kamil Wa'l Wafi

The Women's Cultural and Sports Committee at Al Kamil Wa'l Wafi Sports and Cultural Club organised the third edition of the Summer Sports and Cultural Forum themed "Sports and Health" in cooperation with the Department of Culture, Sports, and Youth in the Al Sharqiyah South Governorate as part of the summer sports programme


The forum activities will continue until August 29. The forum featured various sports activities such as badminton, karate, fitness, swimming, and other entertainment activities.

The forum also included many workshops and lectures on the art of colour blending and first aid. It also includes an opportunity to visit the "Future Beekeeper" initiative organised by the Department of Agriculture and Animal Wealth in the multi-purpose hall.


The forum is attended by 145 participants, aged between 6 and 17 years.

Abdulsalam bin Salim al Rashdi, a six-year-old, said that he joined the summer sports programme to pursue badminton. He expressed his deep love for this sport and his desire to continue practicing and mastering it.


Salma bint Ahmed al Seneidiya, a nine-year-old, praised the summer sports programme where she learned karate which increased her self-confidence through self-defense classes. "I learned a lot from swimming lessons, learning essential water safety skills for enjoying swimming during family trips".

Mahfouda bint Zayed al Rasbiya, events chairperson, said "Holding such forums during the summer vacation is an important investment in developing the physical and psychological capabilities of our kids with the help of specialised trainers in the fields. The programme also serves as a source for discovering talents in both sports and cultural areas".


Al Rasbiya expressed her deep gratitude and appreciation to the administrative and technical team from the governorate at the forum for their support and assistance in making this programme successful.
