Having a peaceful and stable life is undoubtedly everybody’s wish worldwide. However, it is not everyone’s earn, especially these days with the world witnessing conflicts, clashes and wars here and there.

The social and political instability in some countries stand as the key reason behind people escaping from their homelands. Instead, some have even lost their identity and sense of belonging.

Chasing their own freedom forced them to sacrifice their homes, properties, jobs and wealth. Out of this struggle, all what they are after is just to have a peacefully decent life.

Nothing matters to them, but to be a live like all other human beings in this universe. This concern is recurring very often with people who have no choice; either to stay at homeland or endure the hard times and challenges or to leave everything behind and find another nest somewhere else!

Though, both options are certainly hard to even think of, yet the latter could be preferred, so they can have another chance to live. It is all because they lack the blessing of peace and security at homeland!

Albert Einstein attributed that peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding. Peace does not mean the absence of conflicts as differences will always be there. It means solving these differences through peaceful means; through dialogue, education, knowledge; and humane ways.

As a matter of fact, peace lies in the hearts and minds of all humans. It is a shared responsibility to build peace, a desire for peace, a willingness to work towards achieving peace for all.

In this regard, Mother Teresa stated that if we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other. Unfortunately, people have forgotten that they need one another in a way or another.

This results in causing disorder in some countries, which leads to losing the whole nation with all its identity, history, culture and people too. Hence, it ends up being episodes of war where rebellions show their muscles and people are being humiliated for no reasons sometimes. Their luck just turned them to be part of those unstable nations; they have no choice, but to tolerate all sorts of torture and insult which they might experience.

Lacking the blessing of peace and stability is very scary indeed. Thanks to the Almighty Allah for blessing us with a peaceful homeland where people are enjoying a peaceful and prosperous life around the clock. To tell the truth, this is the most important thing people ever need in their lifetime. Wealth and health are not even worth thinking of when peace is missed! We all agree that peace comes on top of the list of life necessities.

Thanks to the concerned security authorities, mainly the Royal Oman Police, in the Sultanate for sparing no effort to safeguard man and nation. Those heroes are sustaining the peaceful life to citizens, residents and visitors alike in every corner around the country. They get into heroic incidents and brave sacrifices while on their sacred mission of shouldering the burden of peace making for all.

Staying awake day and night on every corner around the country while others are enjoying their life is not a responsibility of everybody's interest to shoulder. It is a profession in which they could sacrifice their time, effort and life. They are always there standby on every diverse weather condition; day and night, hot and cold, rainy or sunny helping and protecting people.

With all respect and gratitude to other armed forces in the country, Royal Oman Police are everyone’s heroes! May Allah bless you all Royal Oman Police personnel. Our hats are on for you; our gratitude and salute to you all peace makers.
