UNITED NATIONS: Dennis Francis, President of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, lauded the Sultanate of Oman for its steadfast commitment to peace, dialogue, and the promotion of noble values under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.


Francis highlighted Oman's consistent efforts in fostering peace and understanding, emphasising its role as a beacon of stability in the region. He praised Oman's enduring policy of dialogue and its proactive approach to international relations, noting the Sultanate of Oman'ss constructive engagement across various global platforms.


"The international community holds Oman's contributions in high regard," said Francis, acknowledging Oman's positive impact on global diplomacy and its constructive role in advancing international cooperation.


In addition, Francis lauded Oman Vision 2040, describing it as a forward-thinking blueprint aimed at positioning Oman among the ranks of advanced nations. He emphasized Oman's strategic focus on human development, the promotion of a knowledge-based society, and the consolidation of modern state institutions.


"Oman's developmental experience serves as a global model," Francis affirmed, underscoring the nation's achievements in sustainable development and its commitment to building resilient communities.


Francis expressed confidence that Oman will continue to inspire and lead by example on the global stage, showcasing a steadfast commitment to peace, dialogue, and sustainable development.
