SALALAH: The students participating in the Military Discipline Programme being held in Dhofar Governorate until July 24, conducted practical applications as part of the programme carried out by the Royal Army of Oman.
The students showed enthusiasm, seriousness and a genuine desire to develop their individual and team skills and to enhance their discipline and national values.
Following up the programme’s activities, the Moral Guidance Department held a number of meetings with some of the officials concerned with the Military Discipline Programme, Major Mohammed bin Musalam al Awaid, a training officer taking part in the military programme, said: “The Military Discipline Programme aims to develop the energies and sharpen the skills of Omani youth, develop the sense of belonging and loyalty, refine the participants’ personality, enhance self-confidence, develop religious and behavioral values, realize the requirements of military discipline.”
Captain Salem bin Khalaf al Abri, a training officer taking part in the programme added: “The military discipline programme seeks to enhance the spirit of citizenship and self-reliance and hone the skills and abilities of students and teach them patience in the face of various challenges.” - ONA
