Royal Academy of Management launches 'Tasmu' initiative

Muscat: The Royal Academy of Management and the Ministry of Social Development jointly inaugurated the "Tasmu" initiative in a ceremony aimed at enhancing the leadership capabilities of Omani women across public, private sectors, and civil society.


Under the auspices of Dr. Laila bint Ahmad al Najjar, Minister of Social Development, the initiative targets 50 Omani women over a four-month programme. It aims to highlight the societal impact of women leaders through success stories and facilitate the exchange of experiences.


Dr. Ali Qasim al Lawati, President of the Royal Academy of Management, emphasised the pivotal role of Omani women in advancing the national development agenda, given their leadership across various sectors.


The launch of the "Tasmu" programme underscores the Academy's commitment to supporting and empowering Omani women leaders through active participation in national leadership programs, preparing them to address future challenges and seize growth and innovation opportunities. This initiative aligns with Oman Vision 2040's strategic objectives, prioritizing women's empowerment across all sectors.


In a statement, the Minister of Social Development said, "This initiative aims to significantly empower Omani women's leadership capabilities, enhancing their role in national development. It focuses on preparing them for leadership roles by enriching their knowledge and boosting their self-leadership abilities at both personal and professional levels. The initiative seeks to increase their representation in public administration, business management, and investment sectors."
