Dibba - The fishing port in the wilayat of Dibba is one of the most important development projects implemented in the Musandam Governorate to achieve economic diversification and create an attractive environment for investments and exploitation of fishery resources.

Ahmed bin Ali al Shehhi, head of the fishing port in the state of Dibba, said that the construction work is progressing at a good pace, as the completion rate has reached around 75 percent, while the marine works in the port are expected to be completed within the next two months.

He explained that the port can accommodate cruise ships, especially after the International Cruise Ship Organization approved Dibba Port as a terminal for its ships worldwide, noting that the port receives about 4,000 passengers per month through the National Ferry Company.

He said that the project is expected to be fully operational during the first quarter of 2025, with the boat landing already functioning while the work on the main beach will be completed in the coming days.

He added that the project has allocated an area of 5,000 sqm for investment in tourist hotels, restaurants, and tourist services, in addition to facilities for the transportation and trade sectors.

The project also includes special sidewalks, buildings and commercial establishments, internal roads, electricity and lighting works, and water and rainwater drainage networks.
