

SALALAH: The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, under the General Directorate of Vocational Training, celebrated on Wednesday at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah the graduation of the seventh batch of students from the Vocational College in Salalah.
The ceremony was under the auspices of Dr Saif bin Abdullah al Haddabi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation for Research and Innovation.
Dr Saeed bin Masoud Kashoub, Director of the Vocational College in Salalah, in his speech said: The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation continues to keep pace with developments and changes in the fields of education, training and scientific research and to encourage innovation and creativity, stressing that the readiness of graduates to integrate into The labour market in various specialisations after the academic training qualification they received in college.
The ceremony included graduates’ speeches and a visual presentation about the college, the specialisations offered, and the facilities equipped with the latest technologies, methods and approved devices in line with the standards of the vocational education and training system and the requirements of the labour market.
The number of graduates reached 213 male and female graduates in the professional diploma track, distributed among three specialisations: energy engineering, electronic device maintenance and specialised sales and marketing.
The occasion was attended by Dr Muna bint Salim al Jardaniyah, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation for Vocational Training, and their excellencies, officials and the college’s academic and administrative staff. — ONA
