Muscat: In a new stride towards achieving Oman Vision 2040, the Sultanate of Oman has made significant progress in the Youth Development Index, advancing to the 33rd position globally in 2023, up from the 52nd in 2020.

This progress is a testament to the continuous efforts made by the Sultanate of Oman to enhance the role of youth in society and empower them to contribute effectively to the country's development.

This result comes within the indicators of Oman Vision 2040 in the priorities of social care and protection.

The key evaluation criteria covers the equality and inclusion, peace and security, education, and political and civic participation, which apparently reflect the tireless commitment of the Omani government to develop an inclusive and sustainable environment that supports the aspirations of youth.

The official spokesperson for the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit commended the progress achieved by the Sultanate of Oman.
