Delivering a speech at the opening conference, Khalid bin Hilal al Maawali, Chairman of Majlis Ash’shura, stressed the importance of realizing that the unity of the Arab nation is the only way to restore its position and power among nations, adding that it is crucial to rebuild bridges of trust and brotherhood and end differences and conflicts that only serve the enemies of the nation.

Al Maawali explained that the aggression against Gaza overturned the false propaganda slogans calling for freedom and that the peace calls that must be adhered to are peace based on a solid foundation and a sincere unified Arab stance that realizes that the Israeli occupation only recognizes the standard of force and the balance of power.

Al Maawali praised the position of the free media which showed the whole world that the Palestinian cause is just and exposed the tragedies and atrocities of the Israeli occupation and proved that the Palestinian resistance is an inherent right of an occupied country. — ONA
