Muscat: The Indian School Darsait emerged victorious in the Barzman Basketball Championship which was dedicated for Indian Schools after defeating the Indian School Muscat branch by 14-12 in the final clash. The event was held under the auspices of Ali bin Khalfan al Hassani, Member of the the Majlis Ash'shura for the Wilayat of Bausher.
The championship, organised by the Oman School Sports Association in collaboration with International Food & Beverages LLC (Barzman) featured participation of six Indian schools. The competition highlighted numerous emerging talents in basketball.
At the conclusion of the match, the guest of honour presented awards to the top three teams: Indian School Darsait, the champions; Indian School Muscat, the runners-up; and Indian School Al Ghubra, which secured third place. Also, the chief guest delivered awards to the partners, organisers and referees of the tournament.
