She highlighted significant achievements in 2023, including the establishment of the ‘Digital Factory’, an initiative that aims to store data within Oman, create a cloud-based infrastructure and develop a digital roadmap for each subsidiary to integrate modern technologies into their operations, keeping pace with rapid technological advancements.

She also noted the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI), robotic process automation (RPA), and AI-based health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) monitoring. Looking ahead to 2024, OQ plans to expand its AI video analytics projects, enhance predictive maintenance solutions, and implement more generative AI applications in legal and operational areas. OQ has launched the SAP Concur platform, becoming the first entity in Oman to enable employees to complete logistical procedures via electronic platforms and mobile phones for travel and expense management.
